Tim Ball, CMP, Event Planner/Manager, Independent Contractor and Travel Director Prior to becoming a travel director, Tim was Director of Meetings and Conferences for a consulting agency in the Washington, DC metropolitan area; in this capacity he led the meetings department, managing the day-to-day operations and supervising the events staff. He served as project manager for several large accounts and was responsible for generating new business and developing the company’s core competencies in meeting planning. Before he joined the consulting agency, Tim spent several years as Meeting's Manager for a magazine publisher in Washington, DC. He ran the meetings department and managed a staff in the production of over 40 events a year including sales incentives, awards programs, business conferences, workshops and tradeshows. From inception to logistics planning to onsite management, Tim with over 20 years’ experience as a meeting professional has the complete range of meeting planning skills and is equally comfortable leading a team as he is managing any aspect of a meeting or incentive from rooms, food & beverage, activities, registration and meetings. Tim enjoys working with a team onsite and the multi-tasking challenge of bringing a successful event to its target audience.
